意味を解説
“read the room” は「空気を読む」という意味になります。直訳すると「部屋を読む」となり意味不明ですが、「空気を読む」は日本でも日常的に使われている表現なので理解しやすいですね。
それ以外にも”read between the lines”や”read the atmosphere“でも「空気を読む」という意味になります。
洋画などでよく出てくるので使い方をいくつか紹介させていただきます。
